Accomplishments and Goals Oct 23 - 30, 2011
My Accomplishments and Goals for the week of Oct 23-30, 2011
As far as my accomplishments from last week’s goal, I completed almost all of them. I didn’t stick to my meal or exercise plans as planned. I still ate well, but it wasn’t foods from my meal plans and I also overate on occasions. As far as my exercise goes, I went for walks everyday and did a couple of scheduled workouts in Wowy of my Slim in 6 Ramp It Up DVDs. I did post my affirmations around my house and on my daily binder and continued to say them to myself daily. Due to financial reasons I wasn’t able to get more of the P90X protein bars like I wanted to, but maybe this week.
So overall, I still have a lot of work to do on my eating habits and exercise routines, but I’m still better than I used to be and not quite where I want to be. I am a work in progress and will continue to push forward.
This week’s goals are:
· Do a 3 day cleanse – deadline- Oct 30
· Push play at least 3x this week – deadline- Oct 29
· Go for short walks everyday during my lunch break- deadline- Oct 29
· Pack a lunch for myself to take with me everyday – deadline – Oct 28
· Go to art class on Saturday – deadline – Oct 29
· Journal everyday – deadline- Oct 30
· Say affirmations everyday – deadline – life
· Post another video blog – deadline – Oct 30
· Carve our pumpkins – deadline – Oct 28
· Do a follow up call – deadline – Oct 28
Contract with self:
I will strive each day to do better than yesterday. I will write out my long term goals and read them to myself daily to keep me focused on what I am working so hard to accomplish. I will reach out to 2 people every day and share my business with them. I will always do the best the I can and reach to do better than that.

I will leave my email and Beachbody links below and will be happy to help you with your fitness/weightloss journey. 10 days into my BeachBody Meal Plans.......
So I decided to blog a little about how my Beachbody Meal Plans are going and how I am feeling about them.
It's been 10 days since I started following my Beachbody Meal Plans pretty strictly and am feeling really good about it. The food has been super easy to make and tastes great. Not only am I eating them, but my husband, 10 yr old daughter, and 21 month old son are all eating them and enjoying them. We are all feeling healthier and actually look forward to the next days recipes to try. I have found that having a set menu printed out for the week helps me to stay on track with eating 6x per day and having the meals planned ahead of time keeps us away from the fast food joints. It also saves us a ton of money because we sit down every Friday or Saturday night, plan out our menu on beachbody.com, then print the shopping list based off of our weekly menu, and only shop for the foods on that list. So now we aren't buying a bunch of unneeded foods, boxed foods, or snack foods. We buy strictly what is on the shopping list and don't even look at anything else. With buying the food only needed for the week, we avoid throwing out spoiled foods and stay away from fast food joints; thus saving us a ton of money. I'm not saying we don't go out on occassion, but when we do, we are more up to trying new, healthier items on the menu; rather than our usual deep fried choices.
I've noticed a difference in my body already. I've lost 7 inches total off my entire body and 5lbs weight. I've had more energy (when not attacked by insomnia) and just feel healthier. I've been eating foods that I've never thought of eating before and learning how to cook all over again. Its been great standing in the kitchen with my husband and making our meals together. I was one that use to "HATE" the kitchen cause it seemed like every meal took forever to cook and I personally had others things I rather be doing. But since following the Beachbody Meal Plan, I've been enjoying cooking and trying new foods. I have yet to run into anything on my menu's that I don't enjoy. My husband has even discovered foods that he use to not like, he likes now cause they are cooked differently. I also love setting a good example for my kids and introducing new, healthier foods that most kids their ages wouldn't be getting at home. Beachbody has introduced me to a new healthier lifestyle that I never thought I would stick to because I wouldn't like the foods or wouldn't like/have time for the workouts, but I do and I enjoy every minute of it.
I'm not saying my journey has been easy, cause it hasn't. I have had my share of ups and downs, but the important thing to me is I pick back up where I left off and continue to strive to be better for myself and my family. There are days that I just don't feel like dragging my butt outta bed and working out or even eating, but then I think about my goals and tell myself you have to do it cause no one else can do it for you. It is my life and I am the only one that can take control and make the changes that need to be made for me to be healthier and happier. I also find myself on Support to Success and reading other people's posts to help motivate me to get up and reach for my goals.
One of my favorite quotes is: "To Achieve All That Is Possible, We Must Attempt The Impossible." So when I am feeling like it is impossible to reach my goal weight, I just think to myself I have to push myself harder, I have to give it my all, and most of all I have to make the attempts to get there or I'll never know if it was possible. The worst thoughts that go through my mind when I give up or don't try is the what ifs?. ...
So I guess, following the BeachBody Meal Plans has not only changed my eating habits for the better, but also has changed my family, my mindset, my health, and my life thus far. I am so happy that I made the first step of asking Coach Michael what he is doing and how he is doing it cause he helped me decide that I wanted to change and hooked me up with the tools and support I needed to get to where I am today. I appreciate all that Michael and Tiyona have done for me thus far and my Fit Phatty team for all their support. Without each and every one of you, I would not be so dedicated to myself. You all keep me going and striving to be a better me.

About my journey and a new plan.........
So
I've been working out 5 days a week most weeks since August and working
out pretty regular since June/July 2011 and I've notice the scale and
measurements aren't moving. It's a little discouraging, but I know
exactly what I've been doing wrong and I'm not gonna lie or make up
excuses as to why. My eating habits are what are holding me back. I've
been battling my eating habits for 15 yrs now. I started gaining weight
when I was about 15 or 16 yrs old due to birth control and my eating got
way out of hand. I'm at the heaviest weight (224lbs) I've ever been in
my life and I don't want to get any bigger.
In March I joined Team Beach Body and started the Turbo Jam program. When I first started, I wasn't confident in myself, comfortable posting in a public place about my struggles, or working out in front of people, so the only times I would workout was while my husband was at work and I was alone, which wasn't very often. Then in May 2011, my coach had me join an online supoprt group and I started getting a little more serious about my weight loss efforts. I started working out a little more regular, posting blogs about my health and fitness journey, got started on Shakeology, started trying some of the Beach Body recipes, and making new friends in my group. The support group has really helped me stay more focused on my workout and eating habits than ever before, but I still seemed to struggle with the eating habits more than anything.
So now that I have been getting my exercise in, its time for me to buckle down even more and get my eating up to par. I drink shakeology 1x per day sometimes 2 and that helps with my energy and overall mood for the day, plus my sweet tooth. I have a sweet tooth for chocolate that wont stop and the shakeology has really helped with that. I've been battling deep depression and social anxiety for 2 yrs now and the shakeology has actually helped with it quite a bit.
Anyway, here is my new plan to help me get this weight off, boost my confidence, make me a healthier person, and be happier all around:
Contract with myself:
I will continue to do whatever it takes to get this weight off and reach my goals. No More BS or Excuses. I will follow my BeachBody Meal Plans to a T and print them off weekly. I will only buy what is on my BeachBody shopping list for the menu for the week. I will print out my goals and motivational quotes and post them in my room and bathroom so that I can see them everyday and remind myself of why I am doing this. This is my life and I am the only one that is responsible for wha I do. I CAN AND WILL DO THIS FOR MY LIFE!!!!
/s/ Coach Willow
- Continue working out 5x week
- Continue reading 10 pages per day
- Continue drinking Shakeology 1-2x daily
- Continue blogging
- Continue logging into my support group
- Only measure and weigh myself at the end of each month
- Print my Beach Body meal plan weekly and stick to it
Contract with myself:
I will continue to do whatever it takes to get this weight off and reach my goals. No More BS or Excuses. I will follow my BeachBody Meal Plans to a T and print them off weekly. I will only buy what is on my BeachBody shopping list for the menu for the week. I will print out my goals and motivational quotes and post them in my room and bathroom so that I can see them everyday and remind myself of why I am doing this. This is my life and I am the only one that is responsible for wha I do. I CAN AND WILL DO THIS FOR MY LIFE!!!!

What I've been up to the Month of August

8/8/2011 Workout
So I just completed my TJ 20 min. I did not let the business of the day stop me from completing my workout. No Excuses, No BS. I worked from the time I got up this morning (7:30 am) until about 10:30pm tonight and still managed to get a workout in. I'm pushing myself more than ever to get fit and healthy, not only for my sake, but for my kids sakes too. I want to be the example for them and prevent them from joining the trend of childhood obesity and adulthood obesity.
Tonight's workout went great, I'm still working on the moves and perfecting the form, but I'm up and moving and that is the most important at this point. The form and moves will improve with time and practice. I'm feeling good and the sweat is dripping off of me.

Goal Update for July 15-22, 2011
So I am 4 days into my weekly goals and woud like to think I am doing great. I've been seriously pushing myself more and more. I've managed to keep off 5 of the 7.4 lbs that I lost during my 3 day shakeology cleanse. I've been eating more regualarly and really watchin my portions. ( Thats a huge challenge for me) I still need to get more reading in, I've really slacked off on it. I also haven't posted any motivational or inspirational quotes around the house yet, but I have been reading some daily and posting them on my facebook account.
I just wanted to blog what I have and haven't been doing towards my goals this week. Even though I am lacking in some of them, I am really doing great in others. I think the 3 day shakeology cleanse is just what I needed to give me that little extra boost to reach my goals and strive to do better.
This week has been a great week both spiritually and physically for me. I donated some items I had that I didn't need anymore and like I said above, I've pushed myself harder this week than I have in a while.
So this is my little update and kudos for myself. I hope anyone else that reads this takes something from it and pushes themselves to do better.

New Goals for the Week of July 15 - 22
Goals for the week of July 15 - 22, 2011
So as you know, I did a 3 day cleanse and lost 7.4 lbs and my measurements dropped too. Since doing the cleanse and seeing how much change I had made, I took a new look at what I've been doing and am setting some new goals for myself. I don't want to gain back all that I lost, so here are some changes I am going to make this week.
So this is my plan for the week. I may add in a second walk in the evening on some days just to get that little extra something in before bed.

- Get plenty of sleep
- Take a 1 mile walk every morning with my son and dog
- Do some sort of toning exercise for at least 10 min every day after walk
- Continue eating healthier
- Continue reading " It's Not Over Until You Win" daily
- Post motivational words around the house to keep me focused.
- Push myself a little harder every day.

After Cleanse Measurements July 14, 2011
I did the 3 day shakeology cleanse and here are my measurements:
Before: July 11, 2011 After: July 14, 2011
Chest: 51 Chest: 49
Waist: 48 1/2 Waist: 47
L Thigh: 24 1/2 L Thigh: 24
R Thigh: 25 R Thigh: 24
L Arm: 15 1/4 L Arm: 15
R Arm: 15 R Arm: 14 3/4
Weight: 224.6 Weight: 217.2
So this cleanse has gotten me to drop 7.4 lbs and my measurements has gone down. I think that seeing my number improve has motivated me much more to continue on this path. I knew that my eating habits were holding me back, so now I am that much more motivated to make the right choices- eat smaller portions, eat more fruits/veggies, eat breakfast, and eat more times a day.
I want to thank Coach Michael and Tiyona for their support and motivation and of course all of my Fit Phatty sisters and Support to Success sisters and brothers because without all the suport and encouragement from you all, I would not have my own motivation to get my Phat @$$ off the couch and do what it takes.
Before: July 11, 2011 After: July 14, 2011

My 4th of July
My 4th of July went rather well I think as far as sticking to my goals. I managed to control my eating and only had one plate of food and I didn't snack on food all day like I usually do at family get togethers. All my portions were smaller, especially the sugary foods. I also went for quite a few walks and played at the playground with my kids, so I'm sure I burned off alot of the calories that I ate. The worst thing I ate yesterday was probably Mcdonalds and that was because it had been a long time in between meals and we weren't at the BBQ anymore, my mom didn't have any food at her house and the closest thing was Mcdonald's. I'm ok with it though cause I ate a smaller meal and didn't drink my soda. I also went for two semi long walks after eating it.
So overall I am very happy with myself. I made big changes, even though I still have work to do. I've also been really good about keeping up my food journal. I still have a long way to go in reaching my weightloss and health goals, but I'm making the changes one step at a time. I will lose the weight and I will live/eat healthier for myself and my family.

Struggling with my eating habits....
I've been stuck in a struggle with my food addictions. I'm finding it really hard to commit to eating right. I know I have all the resources and skills needed to follow my diet plan, but I just cant seem to stick to it. I have a really hard time keeping a food journal also, so I went out and bought a new journal to start tracking my eating again so I can hold myself accountable. I'm tired of being fat, feeling tired all the time, being slow, and not having energy. I've been doing really good with checking into the Support to Success site, Fit Phatty, and Blogging, and making sure I get some form of exercise daily. I'm definately a lot more active than I was a month ago, 6 month ago, and even a yr ago. I'm proud of myself for the proud of myself for the changes I have made, but I also know that it could be better than what it is and the one thing holding me back the most is my eating habits.
So now that I can pinpoint my biggest set back, what am I to do to fix it? I guess I will set some new goals that are focused on my eating habits for this week. Tomorrow is a new day and anyday is a good day to try/start something new.
Goals for this week:
I wrote this post to track my feelings and ideas on what I'm stuggling with on my weight loss journey and to let others know that they arent alone in their struggles.

All in all this week just wasn't a good one for me. I was ill for almost 3 days and hadn't worked out or really ate, but I didn't gain any weight or size, so I believe that is great. This week I am going to get my act together and get back at it.
